Exciting Radio News! Spanish Spots Now Airing in Atlanta Alaska & Alabama Christian Radio Stations Running Radio Spots For Free!

We’ve shared with you how God has opened doors for us to have our radio spots translated into Spanish and how excited we’ve been to air those spots in South Texas and Northern Mexico for the past few months.

Now, there’s even more exciting news! In July, we began airing our Spanish spots right here in Atlanta on 105.3 FM (WBZY El Patron). Atlanta’s Spanish-speaking population is increasing, and we are compelled to share the Good News of Jesus Christ in the language of their culture. Please pray with us that the hearts of those listening will be open and ready to receive Jesus!

Besides Spanish radio, our devotions are available in Spanish on the web at desdealcorazon.org. Traffic on this site is approaching 500 visits/month!

Alaska & Alabama Christian Radio Stations Running Radio Spots For Free!

We were recently contacted by two Christian radio stations that were in need of quality inspirational radio spots to fill their air- ways. While our main focus for our 60-second spots has always been secular radio, we certainly are thrilled to provide these spots to Christian stations when they ask for them! So, Bryant’s short, quick-hitting radio spots will soon be heard on KNOM 780 AM and 96.1 FM, a Christian station that covers Northern Alaska, reach- ing over into Russia, and WELJ 90.9 FM, a 100K watt station that covers South Central Alabama and portions of NW Florida. Praise God for answering prayers we didn’t even know to pray!

Upcoming Series On the Prophecy of Jesus’ Second Coming

Beginning, Sunday, August 30, Bryant Wright began preaching an 11-week series entitled "Knowing the Future to Understand Today." This series focuses on prophecy--what the Bible has to say about the end times and what the future holds for God’s people and the world. If you miss a sermon, you can view and/or listen at rightfromtheheart.org/series. Sermons are normally available Monday afternoon following the Sunday message.

What is Social Networking & Why Are We Involved?

You may be aware of the proliferation of web sites that help people keep up with their "friends," share pictures, chat, and update one another on what’s going on in their lives. Two of the most popular social networking sites are Facebook and Twitter. Did you know that Facebook has over 250 MILLION participants worldwide? What a tremendous opportunity for us to share our faith! Our daily devotions on Facebook and short messages on Twitter offer words of encouragement and tell others about Christ.

Our prayer site, rightfromtheknees.org, encourages the Body of Christ to lean on, pray for, and support each other while looking to the Lord as the Supplier of all our needs.

New TV Spots to Run in Late August and September

During a recent trip to the Mediterranean, Bryant recorded new TV spots that will air the last week of August and the first two weeks of September in the morning news slots on CNN, ESPN, Headline News, and Fox News Channel. We are happy to have the visibility this schedule will bring to our messages and, as always, are trusting God for future schedules.

A Thank You to Andy Knight

We are saddened to report that Andy Knight, our web director, has left RFTH to accept a job on the web team of LifeChurch.tv, based in Oklahoma City.

Andy has done a wonderful job for nearly three years, upgrading our online tools for spreading the Gospel.

The good news is that Andy will continue to live in North Georgia and work with us on a contract basis, helping the ministry to continue growing our web presence with the same level of excellence we endeavor to achieve in all our publications. We wish Andy the best as he continues his career in the ministry.

Thrifty Living Discount Centers is a new venture, professionally developed by lay leadership to open discount stores with both New and Used donated items. Thrifty Living generates support for carefully selected Christian ministries (Right From The Heart is one of the designated ministries to benefit from this store), allowing ministries to focus on caring for physical, emotional and spiritual needs of people. Discount stores gross several million dollars annually for secular organizations.

The first Thrifty Living store will open on October 1, 2009, in Sandy Springs, GA, at the intersection of Abernathy and Roswell Road, in the former Staples location.
